The Annual World Children's Center Gala is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia and will serve as host to more than 700 guests. The event has a dual purpose, as it serves as a thank you event for the "lead" corporate sponsors of The U.S. 10K Classic presented by Publix and Gatorade. Now in its fifteenth year, the event raises awareness and supports the development of the World Children's Center.

This year the event will include dinner, a premier silent auction and private concert performance by Peter Cincotti. Peter, a David Foster protégé (famed producer of Josh Groban, Michael Buble and Celine Dion) has been compared to Billy Joel for his style of music. Currently Peter is on tour in Europe where his new album has gone Gold. His album will be released in the United States this summer.
